What is Canada's Recovery Caregiving Benefit?
CRCB is an income support program to support those people who are unavailable to work because they have to look after their child (under 12 years) or some other family member who requires supervised care.
Who can apply for CRCB?
To be eligible for Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit, you need to meet the following requirements:

Unable to work:
When you cannot complete at least 50% of your weekly work because you have to take care of a family member.

The need to supervise your family member
If the child is under 12 years of age, and they cannot be supervised at a school, daycare because it's being closed due to pandemic. Or some other family member diagnosed with COVID-19 or is at a greater risk of being contracted with it. And lastly, if the caregiver is unavailable.
Your residence
If you are a resident in Canada and are living in Canada for one week of applying, then you are eligible to apply for CRCB.

You must be at least 15 years old to apply for Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB).
Have a valid SIN
You can apply for CRSB if you have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).

How much do you get?
Through CRCB, you can get payment of $500 (before taxes withheld) for one week per household. Out of $50, CRA deducts 10% tax from this amount, so you get $450 for one week. Only one person living in the same household can receive payment for CRCB. Each eligible family may receive payments for a maximum of 44 weeks.

There are ways to apply for CRSB. Such as:

When to apply?
You can apply on the first Monday after the 1-week period you are using for has ended. After that, for each week, you have to apply separately. After that, you can apply for any period valid up to 60 days after the period has ended.
